ACI Manufacturing provides air filter prototyping and customization services. Often when equipment is being designed, the air filter is the last component considered. However, air filters are critical in protecting valuable equipment and the workplace environment.
Being a small business allows us to work very closely with our customers as movement is made from the prototyping phase to production phase. We specialize in custom air filters with small to mid-sized quantities ranging anywhere from 1 to 1000.

We start by listening to the customer and understanding their unique needs. We typically assist with researching and sourcing the proper air filter media. Often, media samples are sent to the customer for testing.
Additionally, we work with the customer on other unique design attributes such as size, structural design, pre-filter considerations and even the color of the frame.
We manufacture the prototype and send it to the customer for testing. Once approved, we then move into production phase.
Since we are a small business without bureaucracy, our prototyping process is rapid.
A customer was designing an air filter to protect critical driveshaft linkage. The equipment operated in harsh outdoor conditions.
After talking with the customer, three different types of media were sent to be tested. This application called for a sewn filter, so we helped with design features which allowed the filter to be easily installed and removed. Prototypes were sent and subsequently approved, this air filter is now in the production phase.
In this example, a customer was interested in utilizing our “Ultra” electrostatic air filter as a pre-filter for their industrial air purifier. We helped the customer size the filter and sent a couple of sample filters. Based on that test, the customer requested gasket around the frame for a tighter seal. We sent filters with gaskets and achieved success. This air filter is now in production phase.
